Mrs. Mary E. Williams, 412 S. Washington St., 93-year-old widow of Dr. George T. Williams, prominent Crawfordsville physician, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital, where she had been a patient four weeks. She was born May 2, 1866, near Browns Valley, and was a daughter of Johnston and Ruth Ann VanCleave Todd. She married Dr. Williams Oct. 17, 1883. He practiced medicine in Browns Valley and for a time at Frankfort, then from 1904 until his death in this city. He was a World War I veteran. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Old Union Primitive Baptist Church near Waveland and of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was the last of a large family, six brothers and three sisters preceding her in death in addition to several in infancy. Nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews survive. Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bright Funeral Home. Elder F. S. Fisher of Greencastle, pastor of the Old Union Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
